Decorated Holiday Plates

Here is what you need:

colorful holiday plates for your favorite holiday
sequins, trims, glitter, cotton balls, and other collage materials
scissors
white glue
ruler
hole punch
thin ribbon in a color that looks nice with the plate picture

Here is what you do:

1. Choose decorations to trim the picture on your holiday plate. Use decorations that will highlight the picture printed on the plate. If you have a Santa picture, you could cover the beard with cotton. If you have a dreidel picture, you might want to decorate the design with silver and blue glitter and trims. If you are decorating a Kwanzaa plate, you can bring out the picture with a selection of materials in rd, green and black, the colors of Kwanzaa.

2. Punch a hole in the top of the plate. Cut a 5-inch length of ribbon. String the ribbon through the hole and tie the two ends together to make a hanger.
