About Me

Hi everyone, I hope this will help you get to know me a little better.

First of all, I'm Lori. I been married to the same guy for many years..
We have one child, a son, that is the best thing that has happened to me. He's kept me going, laughing and just amazed as he grows and gets older. Even his teachers say there's not a day that goes by that he doesn't make them laugh.
We live in a small town in Pennsylvania.
So here are some of my likes and dislikes.

1. I love my family and friends.

2. I love scrapping and doing recipe layouts and altered rolodex cards with quotes on them. I been scrapping since April of 2002. I was given a box full of old photos by my aunt Jeanie. So I went to Michael's Crafts looking for a special album to keep them in.  I ended up taking a scrap booking class and have been hooked ever since! It's a very addicting hobby but I love it. I'm getting back into pen paling and swapping slams and sticker books. More on those later.

3. I love movies. Especially dramas & suspense. A few of my favorites are: Top Gun, Bone Collector, I Am Sam and many more.

4. Making quick and easy crafts. Some of things I like to make are: crocheted dish cloths, plastic canvas magnets, frames, tissue box covers, tea towel holders & book marks. I also do a few miscellaneous crafts, trinket boxes, and potpourri hoops. I also love making web pages, & backgrounds. All of the backgrounds here at my site are mine. I'm hoping to learn how to draw. I don't have any drawing talent.

5. Another passion of mine is Genealogy. I been working on my family tree for about 20 years or more. I have lots of old photos and even a few original documents.

6. Some PC games I like are: the Sims2, Roller & Zoo Tycoons, time management/arcade, board and card games.

7. I'm an avid reader. I mostly read romance and fiction. And now some books you would find under the religious section in a store. Such as Beverly Lewis. She writes Amish stories. And Michael Philips, he has a great series that takes place during the Civil War. Maybe I'll do a page and write some descriptions of my favorite books.

8. I collect, bookmarkers, decorative tins, recipe books, anything with English Bulldogs, snowmen and wolf items.

9. My favorite colors are: Navy Blue, Hunter Green & Maroon.

10. My favorite restaurant is Red Lobster.

11. I have blond hair and blue eyes and I'm 5.1' tall.

12. I want to loose some serious weight.

13. I lost my 2 older brothers and my dad passed away from cancer..

14. I have a younger brother who is 15 years younger than me.

15. I wanted an Old English Bull Dog puppy. I got one!! His name is Jaydon is he is my bully boy!

16. I like finding out what life was like when my ancestors were around.

17. All my grandparents are deceased.

18. I had 7 serious operations and 2 by laser.

19. I'm a stay-at-home mom.

20. I have 2 cats and 2 dogs.

21. I love living in Pennsylvania.

22. My favorite season if Spring.

23. I wear glasses.

24. My favorite flavor is Raspberry.

25. I don't cook much, but I like to bake on occasion.

26. Going to different zoo's. So far, I been to zoo's in: Nashville, TN, Cleveland, Ohio (twice), Pittsburgh, PA, and Washington DC.

27. I hope to visit Germany & Croatia someday.

A few things I don't like:

1. Rude or inconsiderate drivers.

2. News, I rarely watch or listen to the news.

3. Spiders & bugs. I can't stand either. I won't even kill them, I make Blair do it LOL.

4. Pop-up adds on the web!

5. People who are rude. Talk about things with others in front of you, when you are excluded. People who take and never give in return.

6. I know there are a few other things, but I think my likes are more important for now :-) I hope I didn't put you to sleep.

7. Never having enough time in the day/week to do everything I want to do.
