Busy Bees
Prep time: 15 minutes  Chill time: 1 hour
1 pkg (4-serving size) JELL-O Grape Gelatin Dessert
1 pkg (4-serving size) JELL-O Vanilla Instant Pudding & Pie Filling
10 Chocolate wafer cookies
Black shoestring licorice
 

Prepare Gelatin Dessert according to package directions reducing cold water to ½ cup; pour into shallow pan and chill until set, about 1 hr.

Prepare pudding according to package directions, reducing milk to 1½ cups; chill 5 minutes.

To Make bees, break gelatin into small pieces using fork. Alternately layer gelatin and pudding in small plastic or glass cups, ending with pudding layer.

  Garnish each bee with two chocolate wafer cookies for "wings", 1 black jelly candy for a "head" and 2 pieces of  black shoestring licorice for "antennae".

Makes 5 bees.

Tip: For easy blending, use a wire whisk to blend pudding and milk.

 

 

Berry Blue Shooting Stars
Prep time: 10 minutes   Chill time: 30 minutes
1 cup boiling water
1 pkg (4-serving size) JELL-O Berry Blue Gelatin Dessert
2 cups ice cubes
1 cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
Additional thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
4 marshmallows
Colored sugar
 

Add boiling water to Gelatin Dessert. Stir until completely dissolved. Add ice cubes. Stir until gelatin thickens (3 to 5 minutes). Remove any unmelted ice.

Spoon thickened gelatin into dessert dishes alternately with spoonfuls of whipped topping to form clouds. Refrigerate until set, about 30 minutes.

  Garnish with additional whipped topping and marshmallows, cut into shapes and sprinkled with colored sugar.

 

 

Slushies
Prep time: 5 minutes  Freezing time: 4 hours or overnight
1 pkg
(4-serving size) JELL-O Gelatin Dessert, any flavor
1 cup boiling water
2 cups ginger ale

Dissolve Gelatin Dessert in boiling water.

Add ginger ale and pour into an 8 inch square pan. Freeze until firm, 4 hours or overnight..

To Serve use an ice cream scoop to fill serving dishes, paper cups or ice cream cones. Serve immediately.

  Makes 4 servings.

Tip: Substitute your favorite carbonated beverage for the ginger ale. Serve with sliced fresh fruit, if desired.

 

 

Blooming Berry Flowers
Prep time: 15 minutes  Chill time: 3 hours
2 pkg (4-serving size) JELL-O Strawberry Gelatin Dessert, or your favorite flavor
1¼ cups boiling water
4 paper cups (5 oz. each)
Flowers Large marshmallows, colored sprinkles, colored coconut, candies, toothpicks, plastic straws cut in half.
 

Dissolve Gelatin Dessert in boiling water, stirring until completely dissolved, about 2 minutes. Pour into paper cups.

Refrigerate until firm, at least 3 hours.

Cut marshmallows into five pieces using scissors to make flower petals. Arrange petals in flower shape, pressing each petal tightly together. Press colored sprinkles or coconut onto petals and candy for center.

 

  Insert toothpick through center of marshmallow flowers. Place toothpick into straw.

Carefully peel away paper cups from gelatin. Place on serving pate and insert flower straw in center of pot.

Makes 4 flowers.

Tip: Be sure to press marshmallows together when freshly cut and still sticky, so they hold together well.
 

 

Chocolate Pudding Cats
Prep time: 10 minutes
1 pkg
(4-serving size) JELL-O Chocolate Instant Pudding & Pie Filling
2 cups milk
Assorted candies: shoestring and assorted licorice, jelly beans, jujubes, etc.
 

Prepare pudding according to package directions. Spoon into 4 round bowls. Let stand 5 minutes.

Decorate with candies to resemble cat faces.

  Makes 4 servings.

Tip: Use an assortment of fruit slices instead of candy to make face, i.e. banana slices, strawberry slices, mandarin oranges.
