Twinkling Christmas tree lights make this costume sparkle. 2 (24" x 36") pieces of 3" foam Draw the tree design on the 3" foam and cut it out with an electric knife. Cut narrow, elongated slits in the body of the tree (don't cut all the way through) to give the effect of branches. Make a large star from the ½" foam, and cut an oval in the center just large enough for the face. Cut round balls, bells, and other ornaments from ½" foam. Spray paint all the pieces. Attach the ornaments to the tree with contact cement. Make small holes in the foam and insert the lights, running the wires on the back side to hide them. Attach the shoulder straps. Carry the battery pack for the lights in the fanny pack.
